Vistiors. (Guest Blogger Dr. Michael Anderson)

We had visitors!  Dave and Kendree came to visit our little office in the middle of nowhere.  It was great to see familiar faces from a far-off, bug-less home.  It also gave us an excuse to visit some of Atlanta’s sites.  The ATL temple was awesome, and Owen was a trooper, waiting patiently as his parents did TWO sessions.  (Kendree and Megan did one, and then Dave and I went.)  I’m pleased to say that there weren’t any bugs in the temple.

This leads me to believe that there are no bugs in the Celestial Kingdom…

…which leads me to repent more often.
Cool Dude.

ATL Temple

We went to the Aquarium and got to see the Dolphin show.  I don’t care what anyone says, the ocean is a scary place.  There were HUGE fish, Massive whales, and lots of creepy crawling things that exist in areas of the world that I can’t see.  I don’t know what they eat, I don’t want to know what they eat, I just know that it won’t be me or my baby.

 Big Scary things.

In the Tube of Terror.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means...

Coke world was pretty cool.  They had 60 drink flavors that Coke sells around the world and EVERYTHING sold outside of the USA is filth.  Disgusting, bubbly, stink-fizz, that burns your throat and makes it itch.  Nobody likes it.  Everybody hates it.  Pretty much tastes like worms.

But Owen could down it all.  This kid is definitely his Grandpa Bob’s Grandson.  (“Michael, go get me one or six Pepsi’s out of the fridge.”) He happily sipped it all, and it made him sneeze.  He has been a delight on this trip.
The 4 of us in Coke world.

I don’t know what it is about this place, but being far away from family has put a new twist on the gospel for me.  It is ironic that the further you get away from family the more that you appreciate your own, and understand its essential part in the larger plan.  This Branch of the church here is so close it feels like a family, and we love that.  It makes us miss our family so much more.

Even bugs have families…

…they just can’t go to heaven.

Cannons kill.

 More things that kill.

Gospel makes us sleepy.

All Dogs go to heaven.
